very useful. we used on a boat on holiday to norfolk broads with only DC available. It's limited to only low amp appliances though. Good for charging camera's, mobile phones etc.

bril adapter,once we plugged in outside the caravan next to the battery. When it was plugged into the 12 volt entry whistled all the time as not enough power, too far from battery. Once tried outside next to battery worked fine

I found this inverter 12v car dc to 240v ac great, especially when camping. It does the job that it profess to do. I have no problems with it what so over. great bit of kit.

I purchased this before a 600 mile roadtrip to Scotland so that the two kids in the back seat could play on their separate laptops and watch DVDs. What a success.This unit powered two laptops at once (with an adaptor) and gave a superb performance. As it was only ever used whilst the engine was running I didnt notice any change in the car's battery performance.If you want mains power rather than fiddling about buying car laptop chargers (no doubt all your laptops will be different!) buy one of these. You will definitely not regret it

Excellent. Wanted it for use when camping. Will power lights, phone adapters etc. Fits neatly in small spaces in car for storage.
